Parents Involvement in the Life of Married Couple

In a recent case of dispute between the young wife and her mother-in-law, I was asked the question, “who should back off?”. There is not a straight answer to this question. Both sides felt that they were in the right. The young wife felt that her mother-in-law is meddling in their marriage. She is criticizing her for everything and anything that she does including; how she spends her time, what she wears and when she goes out with her husband.
